More padel public courts in Bataan

On January 17, 2024, Sen. Pia Cayetano, together with Cong. Albert S. Garcia, Gov. Jose Enrique S. Garcia, Cong. Maria Angela S. Garcia, Cong. Ferdinand Hernandez, Board Member Antonino B. Roman III, and Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia, inaugurated the first Padel Court in Bataan at Greenleaf Residences, City of Balanga.

Sen. Cayetano announced that Bataan is among the provinces where she plans to establish public courts in the country to promote and strengthen the Padel Sport. She also proudly revealed the opening of the Padel Pilipinas League, led by Coach Bryan Casao, aiming to host competitions in the sport and encourage Filipinos to play Padel, thereby promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

Originating from Mexico, Padel is a sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It is played on a 10-meter by 20-meter court with its own walls, which serves as rebound surfaces for the ball and strategic points to score, setting it apart from tennis. |
